cos x sin x=sin^2x
cos x sin x-sin^2x=0
sin x (cos-sinx)=0
sin x=0                    cos x- sin x=0
0, pie                       cos x=sin x
                                pie/4 and 5pie/4

For this equation, we are solving for the answer.  The first step we have to do is subtract sin^2 to the other side of the equation.  Now you havw cos x sin x sin^2 x=0.  Next step is to take out a sin x from the equation.  Once you do this, you have sin x(cos x-sin x)=0.  Now we set our two different equations up.  One equation is sin x=0. When you solve that, you get it equals 0 and pie.  the second equation is cos x-sin x=0.  solve for the answer, so you subtract sin x and get cos x=sin x.  your second answer is pie/4 and 5pie/4.
