7-6!

So Brob, its Danielle off of Kayla’s blog. I really do need to get you to send this email again.

Soooooo in class this week we learned about the inverse’s of trig functions. Something I’ve learned about this section is you have to check the mode on your calculator or you can get the answer wrong. There are at least two answers for each inverse.

To move quadrants:

*Quadrant one to quadrant two-make negative and add 180 degrees.

*Quadrant one to quadrant three-add 180 degrees.

*Quadrant one to quadrant four-make negative and add 360 degrees.

Ex. Cos ^-1 ( 3/4 ) = 41.410

Cos is positive in the first and fourth quadrant so you would make 41.410 negative and add 360, so you get 318.59. that gives you the answer for the fourth quadrant.

Brob doesn’t want it in this format so you have to change it to mins and seconds.

.410*60=24.6

.6*60=36

41 degrees 24 minutes 36 seconds

.59*60=35.4

.4*60=24

318 degrees 35 minutes 24 seconds
